Technical Project Intern

The Role

This position is a great opportunity to learn from and work alongside our team at STARKE-AMG. It will expose students to various manufacturing techniques and provide extensive knowledge of the manufacturing industry.

Precise MM Pty Ltd is a member of the Starke-AMG group. We specialise in complex precision machining, as well as being one of the few companies in Australia with the capability to design and manufacture moulds including moulds for composite materials like carbon fibre.

Location: Precise MM Pty Ltd (member of Starke-AMG group), Edwardstown 5039 SA

Duration: Minimum 3 months

Timing: Flexible

Security clearance: Not required

This role is perfect for someone who:

• Is a current student in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, studying their penultimate or final year
• Is skilled in any CAD software
• Has great communication skills and is comfortable collaborating across teams and engaging with a diverse range of people
• Has the ability to undertake a broad scope of tasks and prioritize them effectively
• Values a collaborative work environment but can also work independently when needed
• Is a creative and quick thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
• Has strong written communication skills.

Placement activities may include exposure to:

• Assisting the Project Manager and Workshop Manager in both defence and other projects
• Tasks such as product design, BOM creation, and quality inspection, etc.
• Following up on project status and highlighting any risks
• Using the ERP system to create quotations and purchase orders
• Preparing and reviewing submissions and reports regarding activities and milestones
• Sharing relevant documentation and reports with project teams.
