Internship Scope

This internship opportunity is open to second year or final year students studying in the area of Project Accounting and Finance at Adelaide University or Flinders University.

Expected learning outcomes include:

  • Exposure to complex project accounting within the defence industry
  • Broad exposure within the Project Management field
  • Exposure across to various stakeholder/ department management.
  • Exposure across project accounting within a national organisation

Anticipated tasks include:

  • Cash management; including customer variable cost reimbursement invoices + recurring invoicing.
  • Support Project creation and cost code set-up and maintenance in the Accounting System.
  • Cost monitoring – track and analyse project expenditure against budget. Working closely with the Project Manager to manage allocated budget per work scope.
  • Support monthly forecast for Bookings, Sales, Profit & Cash for program portfolio.

Internship Duration:

  • Up to 14 weeks with the flexibility to work part-time or full-time depending on study commitments.

Student Eligibility:

Successful applicants must be:

  • Australian citizens only, residing in South Australia
  • Enrolled in a relevant undergraduate discipline in Adelaide University or Flinders University
  • Eligible to undertake a credit-bearing internship course for this internship experience
